Mark Tauscher

Mark Tauscher, former right tackle for the Green Bay Packers, grew up on a farm in Central Wisconsin and obtained his bachelor’s degree in History and master’s degree in Educational Administration from UW-Madison. After his start as a walk on for the Badger football team, he finished his last year of eligibility by starting in 1999 while a graduate student. During that year, the team was fortunate to win Big Ten and Rose Bowl championships for the second year in a row (1998-99). In 2000, Mark was drafted by the Green Bay Packers and started at right tackle his rookie year. He completed 11 seasons and 132 starts with the Packers and ended his career as a Super Bowl XLV Champion.

In 2005, Mark established the TRIFECTA (Tauscher’s Reading Initiative For Every Child To Achieve) Foundation, whose mission is to benefit literacy and education throughout the state of Wisconsin. He also enjoys giving time to many local charities, including the American Family Children’s Hospital, multiple Wisconsin literacy programs and the American Cancer Society. Mark has received NFL All-Rookie Honors, the Lee Remmel Professional Achievement Award, the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, and the Ed Block Courage Award.

Most recently, Mark has been lending his voice to broadcasting for Wisconsin Badger Football, Green Bay Packers Football, national college football games for CBS Sports Network, and Sky Sports in the UK. He is also a co-owner of the Red Card Media Group including Red Card Meal Plan and Isthmus Publishing Co., and a member of both the UW-Madison College of Education Board of Visitors and American Family Children’s Hospital Advisory Board.
