Anthony Adams

With seven years of experience in the NFL, Anthony Adams has added invaluable depth and experience to the Chicago Bears defensive line over the past three seasons. In 2009, he posted 44 total tackles, 2 sacks and a fumble recovery.  Anthony also completed his first season as host of Chicago Huddle, the statewide Chicago Bears’ themed show.  Anthony’s larger than life personality makes him a hit on the show.

In his three seasons in Chicago, Adams has recorded 86 tackles and constantly made it tough for Bears opponents to run the ball.   While playing with the San Francisco 49ers in 2006, Adams finished the season with 2 sacks and 29 tackles. During Adams’ 2004 season with the 49ers, he tied a career high with 61 tackles, with 27 being solo. During the 2003 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers drafted Adams in the second round.

Adams played collegiate football for Penn State, where he finished his career with 166 tackles with 94 being solo, 11 sacks, and 33 tackles for a loss. The NFL Draft Report named him second team All-Big Ten Conference as a senior. He was honorable mention All-Big Ten Selection following his junior season.

Adams has been very active in the community both in Chicago as well as his hometown of Detroit.  He has participated in the Read Across America Program and donated football souvenirs to young students who are working toward achieving high marks in Detroit schools.
