DE PERE – The Green Bay Packers wrapped up mini-camp Friday but that doesn’t mean some of the team’s best players weren’t on a football field Saturday.

Defensive tackle Mike Daniels hosted his second annual youth football camp at St. Norbert’s Schneider Stadium in De Pere.

“That’s much more rewarding than a sack or a big play because those will be over one day, but being able to impact your community will never end,” Daniels said.

Nearly 100 kids took to the turf for a day filled with football drills, guest speakers and of course; autographs.

Fellow Packers Ty Montgomery, Kenny Clark and Christian Ringo were on site to lend a had to the good cause.

Daniels is in his fifth season with Green Bay, and is known to play with a mean streak on the field. However, he’s not afraid to show a softer side off of it!

“This far outweighs any of that,” Daniels said. “At the end of the day we’re all just humans, you have to be able to flip the light switch as I’ve always have spoken about. When you go out on the field, you have to be aggressive, have to be tough, relentless. But off the field, be a nice person and that’s what it’s all about.”
