Lammi Sports’ Founder & CEO, Brian Lammi, Joins Panel at “Business of Sports Event”

Only in Milwaukee would you be able to sample a MillerCoors product at an early morning networking event. But such was the case Tuesday as more than 350 Milwaukee-area executives turned out for the Milwaukee Business Journal’s first-ever Business of Sports event.

The event featured for the first time in recent memory the owners or top executives of the three major Wisconsin professional sports teams on stage together to talk about their teams, business community support and efforts to improve each of their facilities. The opening panel consisted of Milwaukee Bucks co-owners Marc Lasry and Jamie Dinan, along with Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy and Milwaukee Brewers chief operating officer Rick Schlesinger.

A second panel focused on the business of sports branding and included Pat Boelter, chief marketing officer for Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin; Steve Dupee, executive vice president of GMR Marketing; Adam Dettman, director of sports, entertainment and licensing for MillerCoors; Brian Lammi, president of Lammi Sports Management; and Christopher Piotrowski, chief marketing officer for Associated Bank.

Many Milwaukee-area business executives were at the event including Paul Upchurch of Visit Milwaukee, Tami Garrison of MillerCoors, Milwaukee attorney David Gruber, Roger Pillsbury of The Private Bank, John Cary of the MACC Fund and Cecelia Gore of the Milwaukee Brewers.
