APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – Fans from all over were in Appleton on Sunday for the Donald Driver Charity Softball Game.

This was the last stop on his thank you tour.

Packers Hall of Framer Donald Driver pulled out all the stops for his charity softball game at the Fox Cities Stadium.

From Olympians, former Green Bay Packers and entertainers, everyone was there to play some ball.

“Come on, Donald is a great friend of mine. We met on the set of Dancing with the Stars. He was aces right away,” said Grammy nominated singer, Gavin DeGraw.

The game was put on by Driver’s foundation, which supports families in need, wellness programs and career development.

Driver said giving back is just who he is.

“Someone gave me the opportunity and I feel better giving than receiving. You know, it’s sometimes better to give. And to see the smiles on people’s faces, that’s what it’s all about,” said Driver.

Even though players get a little competitive, they said this is an incredible experience.

“When Donald Driver calls, you jump at it. And it’s all for an incredible cause and he’s been doing such a cool thank you tour to all of his fans,” said former Milwaukee Buck, Steve Novak.

Former Dancing with the Stars contestant Noah Galloway was shocked he was asked.

“When he asked me to be a part of this, I was really excited because it’s a celebrity softball game. Why am I here? This stadium is packed. This is incredible,” said Galloway.

One fan, who was collecting autographs for a veterans charity said he loves that Driver still comes back to Wisconsin.

“This is fantastic for the community. It brings a lot of attention to the Timber Rattlers as well as the charity events we do in the area as well,” said Brian Blahnik of Appleton.

And Driver still has the love for Packers fans.

“The reason I wanted to put this on is just to thank the fans for everything they have given me over the last 14 years, 18 years of being a Packer. So it’s been amazing,” said Driver.

Driver’s team lost even though they had a huge comeback towards the end of the game.
