DDThankYouTour: Donald Driver crashes a wedding as part of his thank you tour around Wisconsin

August 17th, 2017

Story by Haley Hansen, courtesy of Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Donald Driver has had a busy couple of days.

After serving cream puffs at the Wisconsin State Fair and stopping by Leinenkugel’s 150th anniversary celebration in Chippewa Falls, the former Green Bay Packer also swung by a wedding in Cadott.

In a short video he posted to Twitter, Driver dances and walks in arm-in-arm with the wedding couple, while guests cheer in the background.

The stop was part of Driver’s “Thank You Fans Tour,” where the former wide receiver invited fans across Wisconsin to bring him to their communities. Driver started the tour Thursday with a speech to 1,800 Kohl’s employees at their headquarters and will wrap with a Goodwill luncheon Monday.

In between, he introduced Gavin DeGraw’s set at Ashley for the Arts in Arcadia and went back-to-school shopping for families with kids being treated at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. He also visited the Miracle League of the Lakeshore in Manitowoc and stopped by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay.

Driver is the Packers’ all-time leading receiver, with team records for receptions and receiving yards. He was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame on July 22 at Lambeau Field and retired in 2012.
