Analyst Names Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams Best WR Duo

August 1st, 2017

Story by Brian Jones, writer on 247Sports.

Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams had strong 2016 seasons. In fact, had it not been for their production , the Green Bay Packers would not have reached the playoffs.

Nate Burleson, analyst for the NFL Network and former NFL receiver, named his top 10 WR duos in the NFL and Nelson and Adams were ranked No. 1. Here’s a look at the list.

Nelson finished the 2016 season with 97 receptions 1,257 yards and 14 touchdowns. Adams finished the 2016 season with 75 receptions, 997 yards and 12 touchdowns. Both players averaged over 13 yards per reception and both had a reception of over 60 yards.

As good as Nelson and Adams were last year, they have a chance to be better in 2017. Nelson will be two years removed from his ACL injury and he has been able to take part in the offseason program and training camp this year, something he was not able to do in 2016. Adams is entering the final year of his contract, so he is looking to have a Pro Bowl year to earn as much money as possible.
